Calder Community Cares: Helping to alleviate poverty, isolation and loneliness in the Upper Calder Valley
Calder Community Cares (CCC) has been doing its best to help the people of Calderdale since the beginning of COVID-19. Starting out with delivering food and prescriptions to those in need, we have since expanded to provide support and events for people in need in our local area.
Our work includes everything from community events to simply keeping people warm. We work with families in need, refugees, and people throughout the Calder Valley to help reduce the effects of poverty and isolation. Since the summer of 2022, we’ve also operated the Calder Community Kindness shop to help raise funds for our work, and other local good causes.
Kindness is our currency, and it’s a currency our community has in abundance.
