Donations Calder Community Cares

We’re only able to provide help and support in the Calder Valley thanks to the generous donations of our supporters and the time of the amazing people who volunteer with us. We’re so thankful for everyone who has provided us with money, clothing or their time in order to help our community and uplift people in an extremely difficult time.

If you’d like to help us out then first of all, thank you! Your generosity will go a long way towards providing food, warmth, social activities and more to people in the Calder Valley who need it. Here are some of the ways you can help:

Donate your time

We are always looking for volunteers and helpers, from event organisers to drivers for food deliveries. We don’t ask for a minimum amount of time you need to commit to; whatever you can offer is fantastic. If you’d like to learn more about how you can help, or want to offer some of your time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Support us as a business

Part of how we are able to deliver the amazing events we run is through our business partners. We have been lucky enough to partner up with some great companies who have helped us to provide help and support to refugees and families struggling with the cost of living crisis.

We would love to hear from businesses that can help us provide the services we offer. These could be anything, including providing us with meeting spaces or food parcels, raising money for us, or providing some treats or days out for families. For example:

  • Bam Nuttall paid for the taxi fares of families who needed help traveling to our events. We want our events to be accessible to everyone, and travel costs are something that can keep families away, so this was a huge help.
  • The Co-Op provided us with volunteers for several of our events, as well as donating food to events such as picnics.

The support we get from businesses allows us to have a greater impact in the community and make a real difference in people’s lives. Companies who have supported us have done so with donated items, staff volunteers, or covered the cost of one-off events. In return companies who supported Calder Community Cares have received positive PR coverage and their team reported a sense of pride in having done something good in their own community.
