Funding opportunities available in March

March is finally here and spring is fast approaching. For many organisations across the Upper Calder Valley, it is the start of looking for new funding opportunities to support service users.

Calder Community Cares works with many charities and not-for-profits in the area so we want to make sure that we are sharing our resources where possible. This month, we have collected funding options that organisations in the area can apply to and ensure they can keep helping the most vulnerable people in our community.

The UK Youth fund in partnership with Pears Foundation – UK Youth

The Cost of Living grant programme is open to organisations working with young people in the UK, with an annual turnover of £500,000 or less. The grant programme will offer 3-year unrestricted grants, of approximately 10% of the current turnover of applicant organisations to reflect the current rate of inflation. Applicants will also have an opportunity to explain why they might need funding above this threshold and for a longer period of time.

The UK Youth fund is taking particular interest in organisations that are being hindered, or facing cuts due to rising core costs or a need to address unprecedented demand.

The application process is now open – and will stay open whilst funds remain to be distributed.

KFC Foundation Community Grants

Funding is available for charities and grassroots community groups and associations to support young people aged 11-25 years in communities where KFC restaurants are located.

Grants of up to £2,500 are available for charities, community interest companies and clubs or associations. You must have an annual turnover of less than £300,000 to support projects that help young people create firm foundations by addressing their needs through early intervention, and empowering young people to fulfil their potential through the provision of safe social spaces, mentoring, work, and social skills development.
